Cookie notice
Last updated July 3, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how Kera Property Technologies Inc ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://getkera.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. If you have questions, contact us at support@getkera.com.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember your choices between pages and visits, and help us understand how the site is used. Some technologies described here use browser storage (such as localStorage) instead of cookies; for simplicity we refer to all of them as "cookies."
Cookies we use
We group cookies into three categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always set because the site cannot work properly without them. Functional cookies power a feature you can see and use (our support chat) and are also always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary
- kera_region — remembers which regional site you chose (Canada or United States) so we can show you the right pricing and features. Stored for 1 year.
- kera_geo — a short-lived hint of the region we detected from your connection, used to offer you the matching regional site. Expires after 30 minutes.
- kera_consent — records the choice you make in the cookie banner so we don't ask again. Stored for 1 year.
Functional
- Intercom (names starting with "intercom-") — powers the support chat bubble so you can message us, and keeps your conversation history between pages and visits. Stored for up to 9 months. For more information, see the Intercom privacy policy at https://www.intercom.com/legal/privacy.
Analytics and marketing (set only with your consent)
- PostHog (first-party, names starting with "ph_") — helps us understand which pages visitors view and which links they use, and connects a visit to a Kera account if you later sign up. Shared with our app at app.getkera.com. Stored for up to 1 year.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (names starting with "_ga", and "_gcl_au" for Google Ads) — usage measurement and advertising conversion reporting. Stored for up to 2 years. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- HubSpot (names starting with "__hs", and "hubspotutk") — powers our demo scheduling and tells us which pages a visitor viewed before booking a demo. Stored for up to 6 months.
- Advertising pixels — Meta/Facebook ("_fbp"), LinkedIn ("li_fat_id", "lidc", "bcookie"), and Reddit ("_rdt_uuid") measure whether our ads on those platforms lead to visits and signups. Stored for up to 2 years depending on the provider.
- Hotjar (names starting with "_hj") — anonymized usage patterns such as scrolling and clicking, used to improve page layouts. Stored for up to 1 year.
- Rewardful ("rewardful.referral") — remembers when a partner referred you to us so the partner is credited if you sign up. Stored for about 60 days.
- Campaign attribution (names starting with "kera_mt_") — first-party cookies that remember which campaign or ad brought you to the site (for example a "utm_source" tag on the link you clicked), so we know which of our marketing works. Readable by our app at app.getkera.com if you sign up. Stored for 30 days.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether we may set analytics and marketing cookies. Choosing "Essential only" means we set only the strictly necessary cookies above. Your choice is remembered for a year.
You can change your mind at any time by deleting the "kera_consent" cookie (or all cookies for getkera.com) in your browser settings — the banner will ask again on your next visit. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely; the site will still work, though we won't be able to remember your regional preference.
Updates to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice as the site or the technologies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
